Model 500 Echocardiography Bed
For Resting Echo Exams & Post Treadmill Imaging
Echo Exams
Patient compliance
is essential to producing a high quality, diagnostic echo exam. This requires
careful instructions to a relaxed, unintimidated, confident patient. In
view of this, we designed our echo bed to have a comfortable "furniture"
appearance and attempted to avoid the threatening high-tech "ER"
look. Incorporated into this design are the features that the buyer defines.
The bed is then hand-crafted specifically for that order.
Because we do only minimal advertising and employ no sales force, our
prices remain low.

The resting echo bed is designed for conventional resting
transthoracic and transesophageal echo exams, dobutamine studies and for
post treadmill imaging exercise exams. The standard dimensions are approximately
30" wide, 30" high, 78" long. However, since our beds are
custom-made, you have the option of specifying the height to meet your
personal preference.

The mattress is made of 3"
medium density foam, providing the patient with a degree of comfort that
minimizes fidgeting and repositioning during the exam. It is upholstered
in wear, stain and bacteria resistant vinyl that
meets flammability requirements: You may customize the bed with your selection
of the vinyl color. The base is finished
in an attractive, durable, washable laminate (ivory white). A paper
sheet dispenser is mounted under the headboard to allow convenient and
fast clean up. The (removable) headboard eliminates the inconvenience
of having the pillow pushed from the bed to the floor.

The imaging access (mattress
cutout) enables convenient access to apical views when the
patient is in left lateral decubitus. This is essential to maximal
ultrasound image quality and allows minimal access time for Doppler
studies (Shown with optional arm rest). |
| The (optional) powered adjustable head elevation is controlled
by a foot pedal. The 4" casters are heavy duty, swiveling
& locking. These dimensions and casters allow the bed
to be moved through standard doorways. |
