Mattress, Upholstery, Vinyl Colors

Mattress
The mattress is 3" fire retardant medium density foam that provides stability and comfort for the patient. 

Upholstery
The mattress is covered with  wear, stain and bacteria resistant vinyl (choice of 84 colors) that meets various flammability codes: 

  • Boston & New York Port Authority Code Requirements Federal Aviation Spec. CCC-A-608A Class 2 treatments 
  • NFPA Code 701 
  • Life Safety Code Standards FMVSS 302 California Bulletin #177e 

Vinyl Properties 

  • Outstanding stain resistance (& easily cleaned) 
  • Outstanding Abrasion resistance 
  • Resistant to common scuffing and burnishing 
  • Sulfide stain resistant 
  • Urine stain resistant 
  • Active bacterial resistance to the following bacteria: Bacillus cereus Proteus vulgaris Bacillus mycoides Pseudomonas aeruginosa Bacillus subtilis Salmonella cholerae suis Enterococcus faecalis Salmonella typhimurium Klebsiella pneumoniae Staphlococcus aureus.


Designed to meet the following flammability specifications:

  • Federal Specification CCC-A-680A Class 2 Treatments (A1-B-C) 
  • Boston Fire Code: IX-1 
  • NFPA Code 701 Life Safety Standards-Small Scale (1989) 
  • UFAC-Class 1 
  • FMVSS-302 (1975) * Designed to meet FAA-FAR 25.853(a) and Appendix F Part I(a)(1)(ii) per 1993 publication 
  • California Flammability Regulation 177-75, Sec. E

You may choose a vinyl color directly from this web site, but please understand that the colors you see are affected by many factors - your browser and your monitor adjustments, for example. This display cannot be depended upon to be exactly the same color as the vinyl, but if you have a quality monitor that is calibrated correctly, the colors will be quite accurate.  (Even the different lots of the same color from the manufacturer may vary slightly.) If you want to minimize uncertainty, you must contact us and request that we send you a vinyl color sampler. (This may require a week for delivery.)
